Our ART SHOU bijoux project is focusing on bringing fun and creativity through DIY jewellery making.
After some market research and team meetings, we decided to bulk buy materials from
China in order to achieve cost-efficiency and to obtain a wider range of different materials. The materials include natural and faux pearls, all sizes of colourful beads, DIY accessories, and DIY tools.

Concept and design of the product
All our team members are living in Spain, sunny Barcelona, so it was very natural that we decided to put a lot of shininess, many different colours and textures, and happy vibes into our design. Those are our daily inspirations from the beach, the sun, those different cultural mixes, the vibrance of the city and the lifestyle of the Mediterranean.
In each of ART SHOU bijoux products, you will see the reflection of those beautiful elements.
Final products
When designing, we usually start with a simple idea, which can be a combination of colours, shapes, or different materials. Sometimes, we start with feelings, such as the feeling of the ocean and sunshine, the feeling when you smile. Then we let the flow of creativity takes the lead, and we finish the design in the making process. Those designs are full of improvisation and fluidity.
Shooting
Each collection will be photographed in a chosen environment that resonates with its creative concept.
“Life on earth probably began in the depth of the ocean”, which was why we designed and shoot our first product here. The different shades of blue are life, energy, and mystery. At times relaxing, at times intoxicating.
Art Show
The project “ Art Shǒu Bijoux” aims to inform and educate about entrepreneurship , promote support and inclusion of migrants who would like to become entrepreneurs in the world of art, creativity particularly in self-made crafts. The project is based on self-learning as well as peer learning methods. Through our own experience and learning of the tools to create a successful brand of crafts from scratch, we wish to motivate and encourage other migrant artists that reside in or around Barcelona to not be afraid and pursue their dreams and make their “ hobby” the main work in their life .
