Mariia Iefimova is 29 years old. She is a former EVS volunteer. She is from Ukraine but has lived in Spain for the last seven years. She studied Law and has worked in the non-profit sector for many years. First, she worked in Fundació INTRAS as a social educator for people with mental illness. Later she worked as a Project Manager for an NGO in the Balearic Islands. She has been working for an NGO in Barcelona for the last two years. She speaks 4 languages fluently (English, Spanish, Russian and Ukrainian) and is learning Catalan at the moment. She is very sociable and open-minded and can liaise easily with other individuals, local communities, and institutions (companies, other NGOs, etc). Mariia is also working as a coach for other young groups and her experience of working with the ESC in multiple areas will be invaluable to this project.
